Overview:
Assists library operations in an assigned area of the library. The position reports to a library supervisor, manager, faculty member, or administrator and may have work directed by a coordinator position. Under direct supervision, this position will provide routine services assisting patrons and library staff. It will handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff.

Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn library related computer programs.
  • Computer skills, including Word, Excel, and web browsers.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, students, faculty, staff, and public patrons.
  • Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives, and exercise judgement.
  • Excellent customer services skills.

Advertised Salary: $10-11/Hr ADA:
Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
Light Physical Duties:
This position requires moderate physical effort. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position, including lifting up to 25 pounds, walking and standing. Employees must adhere to safety precautions and may be required to use protective equipment.
