Nurse Supervisor Skills and Qualifications:
- A graduate of an approved school of professional nursing
- Have a current license/registration to practice nursing in New York state
- Minimum of (3) years’ experience in-home care
- Pediatric & Adult Critical Care Experience preferred
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred ( Or to be earned in 5 years from the date of hire)
- Excellent communication skills are required with the ability to work well with others, function well under pressure, and function independently.
- Excellent multi-tasker
- Bilingual speaking is a plus
Nurse Supervisor Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Office/Field position working with the care delivery team ensuring the plan of care is being followed and regulatory compliance is maintained
- Coordination of Care with a multidisciplinary team
- Conference with staff, makes joint visits as appropriate, prepares for and participates in case conference
- Participates in the evaluation of employee performance reviews
- Maintain professional relations with patients, families, and the public.
- Performs patient assessments, re-certifications, continued patient progress monitoring, and develops the Plan of Care
- Clinical oversite of assigned Field Nursing Staff and patients
- Participates in education and training programs
- Participates in the admission and discharge process
