SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday, 8a to 5p
LOCATION: Pullman, WA
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcome and greet all patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Build successful patient relationships by being a trusted, personable, and informed resource.
- Utilize de-escalation techniques when dealing with upset patients while simultaneously problem solving for solutions.
- Register new patients and update existing patient demographics electronically by collecting detailed patient information including insurance.
- Facilitate patient flow by notifying the nurse and/or provider of patients' arrival, communicate delays appropriately.
- Initiate prior authorizations with insurance carriers.
- Works with outside facilities for transition of care for surgeries and services.
- Protect patient confidentiality by ensuring protected health information is secured at all times.
- Collect co-pays and payments. Inform patients of any existing balance and request patient be prepared for payment due at time of visit.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Medical office experience (preferred)
- 2 plus years of administrative/office experience
- Familiarity with medical terminology (preferred)
- Excellent phone and computer skills
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced clinic

PAY: Starting at $19.00/hour, pay is based on experience
