Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive patient experience by providing exceptional administrative support and managing various patient-related tasks. This position requires strong communication skills, proficiency in medical terminology, and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner at the front desk.
- Manage patient scheduling, including appointments and follow-ups.
- Verify insurance information and assist with insurance claims processing.
- Conduct medical collections as needed while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation review using EMR systems.
- Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and managing multi-line phone systems.
- Assist with medical billing and coding tasks, including CPT coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop care plans and ensure proper patient intake procedures are followed.
- Address patient inquiries regarding services, appointments, and medical records with excellent customer service skills.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and coding (ICD coding, CPT coding).
- Proficiency in EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks is highly desirable.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and typing proficiency (10 key typing).

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
