Patient Services Representative
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team. This role involves direct communication with customers, managing prescription follow-ups, and maintaining accurate medical record documentation. Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming customer calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Follow up on customer prescriptions from initial request to receipt.
- Conduct insurance verifications while adhering to HIPAA regulations
- Handle multi-line phone system to manage incoming calls effectively while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
- Enter and maintain accurate customer documentation including notes, faxes, scans, and other records.
- Coordinate with internal and external departments to ensure timely processing of customer needs.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before filing or entering into the system.
- Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid is a plus
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office or company is preferred
- Proficient in various medical software systems such as Brightree
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and office tasks
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Competency in typing and using computer systems for data entry
Compensation and Schedule:
Salary Range: $25,500 - $30,500 per year
Work Hours: 35 hours per week
Schedule: 8:30am - 4:30pm M-F
Job Type: Full-time
