Duties

- Provide support in behavior management for individuals with disabilities, fostering a positive environment.
- Help clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Engage clients in social activities and companionship to promote mental well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe home environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Provide first aid as necessary and respond appropriately to emergencies.
Requirements
- Previous experience in personal care, long-term care, or assisted living settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and dietary restrictions is an asset.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities and understanding their unique needs.
- Ability to monitor vital signs and recognize changes in client health status.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Certification in first aid or CPR is highly desirable.
