Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Duties
As a Personal Care Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Helping with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Assisting clients with mobility and transferring between locations.
- Performing light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean living environment.
- Administering medications as prescribed and monitoring health conditions.
- Supporting clients with memory care activities and cognitive engagement.
- Driving clients to appointments or social activities when required.
- Documenting daily care activities and reporting any changes in client condition to supervisors.
Experience
Candidates should ideally have:
- Previous experience in home care, senior care, or long-term care settings.
- Familiarity with direct support services for individuals with disabilities.
- Knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures.
- Experience working in assisted living or personal care home environments is a plus.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for client outings.
- A compassionate demeanor and strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and their families.
