Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care/Homemakerto provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in long-term care and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those they assist. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, particularly for individuals with developmental disabilities, memory care needs, and dementia.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Monitor patients' health by observing and reporting changes in their condition.
- Support clients with developmental disabilities by implementing personalized care plans.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in long-term care or as a Personal Care/Homemaker is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid practices and emergency response procedures.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, memory care, or dementia is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
- Reliable transportation for travel between client locations may be required.
