Job Summary
The Protection Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of individuals and property within designated areas. This position involves monitoring premises, conducting surveillance, and responding to incidents to prevent loss and maintain a secure environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong conflict management skills and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. This is for a part-time flex officer, and there is the potential for this to turn into a full time position.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
- Escort and protect clients.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing first aid or CPR as necessary.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required for incident reporting and resolution.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and damage.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
- Engage in conflict management to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
- Provide assistance and guidance to individuals in need of support or direction.
Skills
- Proficient in CPR and first aid techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Experience in law enforcement or military service is preferred.
- Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and techniques.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems, including CCTV operation.
- Strong conflict management abilities to handle challenging situations effectively.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while making sound decisions.
- Certification in relevant security training is a plus.
This position requires a proactive approach to security, an understanding of emergency response protocols, great situational awareness, and the ability to work collaboratively with others to ensure a safe environment for all.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
