Job Summary and Qualifications

ThePharmacy Internis a student who works in a pharmacy to gain hands-on experience. These individuals work under the supervision of licensed pharmacists and hospitalpharmacy managers to ensure that they are performing their job duties correctly.Unlock the possibilities in your career by joining a team that cares like family.

What you will do in this role:

• Under direct supervision of a pharmacist, fills medication orders, prepares routine compounds and solutions (sterile and non-sterile), prepackages medications, stocks andmaintainslevels of supplies in assigned work area, prepares and files documents and other records,operatescomputer and answers telephone/window as needed.
• Performs duties of a pharmacistin accordance withrules and regulations of the State Board of Pharmacy.
• The amount and degree of autonomy progresses with each year of education.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• Currentlyenrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Pharmacy intern registration with the State of Kansas
• Six months of pharmacy technician experience preferred.
