Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pharmacy operations. This role is essential in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medications to patients, contributing to their overall health and well-being. Experience in Long Term or Retail settings.
Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and ensuring patient care standards are met.
- Pack and dispense medications in multi-dose and unit dose blister packaging under the supervision of licensed pharmacists.
- Maintain accurate records of medication intake and administration, adhering to medical terminology standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals for continuity of patient care.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering and restocking medications as needed.
- Participate in quality assurance activities to uphold pharmacy standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred, with a strong understanding of Retail or LTC pharmacy operations.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of medication administration processes and safety protocols is essential.
