We are looking for a dependable Pharmacy Technician, to join our privately owned pharmacy with old school customer service. As a pharmacy technician you must be able to , process prescriptions quickly, be detail-oriented, a great communicator, excellent with emails, and highly reliable. You must possess excellent interpersonal skills to not only promote customer service but to promote teamwork within the pharmacy.
Responsibilities
- Receive prescriptions and check their validity
- Process prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is complete and accurate
- Resolve issues when they arise (e.g. rejected insurance claims)
- Select the appropriate medicine and accurately count prescriptions
- Receive, sort, stock, label medication and monitor to order inventory
- Undertake administrative tasks (e.g. record-keeping) as assigned
- Comply with all security measures and quality standards
- Be diligent to follow-up with prescriptions to ensure patient gets their prescription in a timely manner
- Email proficiency - sending concise and efficient emails to medical partners when needed
Skills
- Experience as a compounding pharmacy technician is preferable but not required
- Experience with an online prescription system is a plus
- Knowledge of medication and dosage measurement
- Knowledge of pharmacy law and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Reliable with a keen eye for detail
- Successful completion of a pharmacy technician program
- Certified Pharmacy technician is a plus

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
