Primary trainer for all phlebotomists, new hires, and students. Responsible for the collection of laboratory specimens from our patients through venipuncture and capillary procedures for diagnostic testing. Responsible for performing proper patient identification and providing an exceptional patient care experience.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Courses in Phlebotomy
  • Minimum 1 year of inpatient phlebotomy experience
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons
  • Moderate computer skills
  • Understanding of proper patient identification processes
  • Technical aptitude.
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Phlebotomy skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional education in a medical or biological field
  • Courses in psychology, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology
  • Previous lead experience highly desirable
  • Experience training phlebotomists
