Job Overview
As a Physical Therapy Aide, you’ll play a key role in supporting our therapists and patients by ensuring smooth treatment sessions and creating a welcoming, positive environment. Your work will help individuals regain mobility, independence, and confidence in their daily lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in carrying out individualized patient treatment plans.
- Prepare, sanitize, and maintain therapy equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Support patients during therapy sessions by providing guidance, motivation, and encouragement.
- Monitor and document patient performance, reporting progress or concerns to the supervising therapist.
- Educate patients on proper techniques for prescribed home exercises to reinforce recovery.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for both patients and staff.
- Collaborate with therapists and the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, or physiology.
- Previous experience in outpatient care, rehabilitation, orthopedics, geriatrics, or acute care settings is highly valued.
- Familiarity with physical therapy practices and equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and reassure patients.
- Team-oriented with the ability to adapt to individual patient needs.
