Job Summary: As a CNC Plasma Operator, you will set up and operate a CNC plasma cutting table to ensure precision in manufacturing processes. This role involves various tasks such as grinding, deburring, cleaning parts, cutting, and removing scrap materials. You'll also operate overhead cranes to handle materials and parts safely and efficiently. Your attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols will contribute significantly to the quality and efficiency of our production process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate the CNC plasma cutting table, ensuring proper alignment of cutting tips or other attachments.
  • Adjust machine controls for optimal speed, feed rate, depth, angle, pressure, or temperature.
  • Measure and inspect finished workpieces using meters, gauges, and other precision instruments to verify accuracy and quality.
  • Select appropriate materials based on cut programs or instructions and ensure they are prepared correctly.
  • Operate overhead cranes to move materials and parts safely and efficiently.
  • Perform grinding, deburring, and cleaning of parts to meet quality standards.
  • Accurately complete all associated paperwork and maintain records of production activities.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in setting up and operating CNC plasma, oxy-fuel, and bevel burning machines.
  • Strong mathematical skills to ensure precision in operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret shop detail drawings accurately.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with a commitment to producing high-quality and accurate work.
  • Familiarity with operating overhead cranes and ensuring safe material handling.
