The University of South Florida (USF) College of Nursing invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Fellow to join a dynamic research team focused on nursing workforce development, with a particular emphasis on job stress, nurse well-being, and patient care outcomes. - Conduct independent and collaborative research on nursing workforce issues, including job stress, burnout, retention, and their impact on patient care.
- Analyze large datasets, including workforce surveys, clinical outcomes, and institutional metrics.
- Contribute to grant writing, manuscript development, and dissemination of findings through conferences and peer-reviewed publications.
- Assist in mentoring graduate students and engaging with stakeholders across academic, clinical, and policy environments.
- Participate in ongoing projects
- Collaborate with faculty in the College of Nursing and USF Health on interdisciplinary initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral degree from an accredited institution and appropriate experience and training within a selected area of specialization. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Postdoctoral Fellow.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD in Nursing (completed by start date).
- Strong background in quantitative or mixed-methods research.
- Demonstrated interest in workforce development, occupational stress, or healthcare quality.
- Prior research experience in nursing workforce studies or healthcare systems.
- Familiarity with national datasets (e.g., NDNQI, HRSA, CMS, or AHRQ).
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams or clinical partners.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with statistical software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R, or STATA) and data visualization tools preferred.
- Commitment to advancing nursing science and improving patient outcomes.
