Job Summary:
The Powder Coat role is responsible for applying powder coatings to metal and other surfaces, ensuring a high-quality and durable finish. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial painting or coating processes, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for coating, including cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed.
- Operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns and ovens, to apply coatings per specifications.
- Monitor coating thickness, adhesion, and overall finish quality to ensure compliance with standards.
- Adjust application techniques and equipment settings as necessary for optimal coating performance.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure efficiency and longevity.
- Handle and dispose of coating materials in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to support safety and efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in powder coating, industrial painting, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of coating techniques, equipment operation, and curing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Understanding of safety procedures and proper handling of coating materials.
Work Environment & Conditions:
The Powder Coat Operator works in a specialized production environment, spending most of the shift on their feet, maneuvering parts, and operating coating equipment. The role requires frequent bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods. PPE, including respirators, gloves, safety glasses, and protective clothing, is mandatory due to exposure to powders and chemicals.
