Summary: Responsible for the powder coating process by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Uses the prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Wipes and scrapes boxes in preparation of powder coating.
- Wipes the box to remove oil and dirt prior to powder coating.
- Uses the prescribed safety equipment (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Powder coats the box to specified thickness.
- Maintains a consistent throughput from the powder coating process.
- Takes powder thickness readings on completed boxes and records data.
- Applies high temperature caulking on product joints.
- Applies any required stickers and any other specified requirements.
- Inspects pre-powdered products to assure quality outcomes and inspects products after powder coating to assure customer receives a quality product.
- Monitors and maintains powder and supplies inventory to acceptable levels.
- Prepares and submits requisitions to Purchasing for powder as needed.
- Maintains clean working area by sweeping powder coating area at least once per week.
- Maintains equipment by cleaning powder coating equipment, changing paint filers and conducting other preventive maintenance as required.
o Monitors wash system to assure proper working order
o Cleans powder line daily
- Completes checklist or other documents to record quality or production data.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
