Job Description: We are a young, but fast-growing plaintiff's personal injury firm practicing in Washington, Oregon, Utah, Colorado, and 8 other states. We are rapidly expanding and litigating more and more cases. We are building a dedicated pre-litigation team and looking for an attorney eager to grow with us, fight for our clients, and develop their personal injury skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of paralegals in all phases of pre-litigation
- Manage a caseload of 250 files
- Prepare the files for sending demands (maintain contact with the clients, gather records, etc.)
- Draft settlement demands and prepare all necessary documents
- Obtain further information where necessary to ensure comprehensive documentation is prepared, organized, analyzed, and summarize documentation
- Liaise between internal team and internal/external third parties
- Review medical records
- Prepare files for settlement (verifying outstanding liens and bills)
- Maintain case files and ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation
- Fluent in Spanish
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 2-5 years prior work as a personal injury attorney
- Juris doctorate degree from an accredited institution
- Active Bar License in Utah, Washington, or Oregon, and prefer other states as well
- Eligible for reciprocal admission into other jurisdictions
- Strong foundational understanding of personal injury law and legal procedures
