Job Summary:
Preschool Teacher Aide to join our Christ-centered learning community. The ideal candidate will have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrate kindness and patience in all interactions, and work well in a team environment. This position supports our preschool teachers and plays a vital role in creating a loving, safe, and nurturing environment for young learners.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and implementation of lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a positive and organized learning environment.
- Provide individualized support to students, including those with disabilities, autism, or other special needs.
- Engage in literacy and math education activities to promote student learning and development.
- Facilitate behavior management strategies to encourage positive behaviors among students.
- Collaborate with teachers in curriculum development and instructional strategies.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Supervise children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support lead preschool teachers in daily classroom routines and instruction
- Lead weekly art lessons that inspire creativity and hands-on engagement
- Lead weekly character education lessons that reflect Biblical values
- Model Christ-like behavior and promote a positive, loving classroom atmosphere
- Assist with classroom management, preparation of materials, and supervision of children
- Maintain a safe and clean learning environment
- Communicate effectively and graciously with staff, students, and parents
- Uphold and support the mission, vision, and values of the school
Qualifications:
- A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
- A heart for young children and a calling to Christian education
- Ability to lead with kindness, compassion, and grace
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred
Requirements:
- Valid CPR and First Aid Certification
- Current TB Test
- Fingerprint clearance card (or ability to obtain one)
- Background check clearance

Experience
- Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting, such as daycare or private schools.
- Background in early childhood education, childhood development, or related fields.
- Familiarity with preschool education is highly desirable.
- Experience in lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and classroom management is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
