Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for teaching young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, and intellectual development of students.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Be comfortable teaching an immersive curriculum and implementing programming in a private preschool setting; Extend learning opportunities in Enrichment Classrooms; And prepare students for Private Kindergarten.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and promotes behavioral management.
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Provide individualized support to students, including those requiring early intervention.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities; Comfortable conducting parent/teacher conferences.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a cohesive educational experience for students.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Maintain a professional personal appearance and professional attitude and work conduct.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- 2 years childcare/teaching experience minimum
- Understands all rules and regulations of local and state agencies pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children.
- Experience working with preschool or pre-kindergarten-aged children is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in behavior management and the ability to create an inclusive classroom environment.
- Knowledge of early intervention strategies to support diverse learning needs.
- Ability to plan effective lessons that incorporate various subjects.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A commitment to fostering a love of learning in young children through creative teaching methods.
- Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and lifting at least 35 pounds.
Upon Employment
- Valid driver’s license
- Obtain Pediatric CPR and Pediatric First Aid with Rescue Breathing and Choking
- Obtain a Background Check and Fingerprint-based Background Check
