This role performs a wide variety of press brake operations, usually on steel plate, stainless steel or aluminum. You will set dies, stop and adjust ram for varying thickness of the plate. Verify all work through templates or drawings by using scale, square or other instruments to determine conformity and acceptability. Continuously set up machines for operations, and keeps 3+ press brakes producing quality products.
Best candidates will have five to seven years of experience with the skill level needed to read prints, use calipers and other tools to measure and can create parts with low scrap. Working in a manufacturing environment, CNC, LATHE, FABRICATION experience a plus.
Specific Duties of the Job Description:
- Due to the potential danger of the press brake, the number one focus is operating safely at all times
- Operates various fabrication machinery
- Ensures completed parts are delivered to the proper areas in Fabrication
- Ensures that completed parts are de-burred and labeled
- Minimal quantity of rejects with a goal of zero rejects
- Completion of assignment sheets each week
- Working knowledge of programming press brakes required
- Machine maintenance as required
- Special projects and other duties assigned
