Arrow Preparatory Academy is a Christ-centered school in Edmonds, WA, serving approximately 70-80 students in a nurturing and academically rigorous environment. We are seeking a Jesus-loving educator and administrator to serve as Principal, helping us fulfill our mission of raising up students who know and reflect Christ in all aspects of life.
Job Summary
The Principal will oversee the academic and spiritual life of the school. In partnership with the Executive Director, the Principal will ensure that the vision, mission, and values of Arrow Preparatory Academy are upheld with excellence. This role requires wisdom, flexibility, strong leadership, and a servant’s heart.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Vision
- Uphold and carry forward the vision of Arrow Preparatory Academy.
- Provide guidance and spiritual encouragement to staff, students, and families.
- Lead with discernment, humility, and a Christ-centered perspective.
- Serve as a visible and relational leader to both internal and external stakeholders.
Executive Director Relations
- Collaborate with the ED on goal-setting, strategic planning, and budgets.
- Keep the ED informed of school matters through regular communication and reports.
- Provide data and recommendations to assist decision-making.
- May be asked to sit on select board committees.
Academic & Staff Leadership
- Mentor, equip, and evaluate teachers to ensure high-quality instruction.
- Co-lead staff meetings and provide regular classroom support, including occasional teaching.
- Review and support curriculum across grade levels.
- Model professional and spiritual growth for staff.
Student & Family Engagement
- Partner with families to support spiritual, emotional, and academic growth.
- Address discipline issues with grace, aiming for redemption and restoration.
- Mediate and resolve conflicts with prayerful discernment.
School Operations & Administration
- Oversee daily operations including health, safety, events, and accreditation compliance.
- Manage budgetary decisions, vendor relationships, and advancement efforts.
- Partner on admissions, recruitment, and retention strategies.
- Ensure policies reflect the mission and are implemented fairly and consistently.
Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s Degree in Education
- Current Washington State Teaching Certificate
- Minimum 10 years of teaching experience
- Proven leadership and management skills in a school setting
- Strong communication and public speaking skills
- Demonstrated walk with Jesus and commitment to biblical truth
- Ability to lead with humility, wisdom, and love
Preferred:
- Master’s in Educational Administration
- Experience in Special Education
- Familiarity with University Model, Classical, Charlotte Mason, or Montessori education
- Background in or respect for homeschooling

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $75,000–$90,000 DOE
- Time Off: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break + 2 additional weeks per year
