Position: Principal Learning Systems Architect & Courseware Developer
Schedule: Full-time, Part-time, and contract roles available

Salary Range: $105,000 - $150,000 - Competitive compensation based on location, education, and experience.

We are looking to expand our team with this role, contingent upon a potential contract award, in support of a government client.
The Role:
As a Principal Learning Systems Architect & Courseware Developer, you will lead the design and development of interactive multimedia and instructional systems. You will be responsible for developing software-based learning platforms, developing SCORM-compliant courseware, and ensuring all products align with current regulations, guidance, and cybersecurity certification requirements.
You will oversee the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and systems design to deployment, sustainment, and quality assurance, while mentoring junior developers and collaborating across functional teams. Additionally, you will support the certification and accreditation of training systems and authoring tools for compliance with federal information assurance policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define system architecture requirements and develop technical solutions for instructional systems, courseware platforms, and multimedia learning products.
- Analyze existing systems and determine hardware/software compatibility, input/output processes, and working parameters to meet Government LMS and network standards.
- Lead the full software development lifecycle for SCORM-conformant digital learning products and administrative support tools, from design to deployment.
- Ensure integration of immersive training capabilities with industry-standard engines compatible with Government LMS platforms.
- Support processes for software application certification, accreditation, and authority to operate (ATO).
- Deliver final SCORM-compliant products and organized source files within Government-mandated delivery timeframes
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of experience in systems architecture, software engineering, or courseware development.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing SCORM-compliant IMI/web-based products compatible with Learning Management Systems.
- Proficiency in modern development environments and tools, including Adobe Creative Cloud, Articulate Storyline 360, HTML5, CSS, and/or scripting within LMS platforms.
- Strong documentation and file management practices for deliverables and source file archiving.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in cybersecurity policy application for training systems and online tools.
- Experience with software application certification, information assurance, and DoD/AF DIACAP or RMF accreditation processes.
- Ability to design and sustain immersive learning products using AR/VR/MR engines compatible with Government systems.
