Job Description
We’re seeking a detail-oriented early-career scientist to join our biotherapeutics team. This lab-based role supports formulation and process development from pre-clinical through commercialization, with hands-on analytical testing, molecule characterization, and lab operations. It also involves data analysis, report writing, and documentation; ideal for someone looking to grow in a collaborative R&D environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support the development of parenteral formulations for biotherapeutics, including monoclonal antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates, proteins, mRNA, and vaccines.
- Perform rapid and thorough characterization of candidate molecules to assess stability using techniques such as HPLC (SE-HPLC, IEX, HIC, RP-HPLC), capillary electrophoresis (CGE, iCE), spectroscopy, light obscuration, and microflow imaging.
- Provide general lab support, including ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, participating in lab inspections, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of scientists to support formulation optimization and molecule progression.
- Prepare and summarize data, verify results, and manage data collection using systems like Empower and electronic lab notebooks.
- Communicate effectively with scientists, project managers, and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. in Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Biology, or a related field.
- 0–3 years of relevant work experience.
- Familiarity with biologics such as proteins, enzymes, monoclonal antibodies, vaccines, mRNA, or antibody-drug conjugates.
- Understanding of basic analytical techniques used for biological characterization.
- Strong computer skills and experience using lab-based software systems.
- Ability to collect, interpret, and analyze data sets.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with analytical techniques such as HPLC (SE-HPLC, IEX, HIC, RP-HPLC) and capillary electrophoresis (CGE, iCE).
- Experience working in a laboratory setting with biophysical or biochemical characterization methods.
- Familiarity with electronic lab notebooks (ELNs) and data systems like Empower.

Additional Details:
This is a full-time, onsite position based on a first shift schedule (Monday through Friday, 8 am-5 pm, with occasional weekends and overtime required as needed. Candidates located within a commutable distance to Andover, MA, are strongly encouraged to apply.
