Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Produce Manager to oversee the daily operations of our produce department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and freshness of all produce items, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires strong leadership skills, a passion for fresh foods, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
Duties
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring that all products are fresh, well-stocked, and displayed attractively.
- Monitor pricing strategies to remain competitive in the market while maximizing profitability.
- Implement effective budgeting practices to control costs within the department.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the produce area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist customers with inquiries regarding produce items, providing knowledgeable recommendations and support.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail management or as an Assistant Manager is preferred.
- Strong mathematical skills for budgeting and pricing analysis.
- Familiarity with market trends related to produce is beneficial for maintaining competitive offerings.
