Job Title: Production Operator II / III (Compression, Coating, Granulation, Encapsulation)

Compensation: $22 – $35 per hour (based on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking skilled Pharmaceutical Production Operators (OSD) to join our growing manufacturing team in Chantilly, VA. The Production Operator performs functions relating to the processing of solid oral drug products, ensuring compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
This role involves operating, setting up, dismantling, cleaning, and troubleshooting production equipment such as granulators, tablet presses, encapsulators, and coating machines. You will play a critical role in maintaining product quality, efficiency, and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot OSD pharmaceutical equipment (Granulation, Compression, Coating, Encapsulation, Wurster).
- Perform machine set-up, changeovers, disassembly, and cleaning as per SOPs.
- Execute batch production records and maintain accurate documentation.
- Assist in in-process quality checks and sampling.
- Maintain compliance with cGMP and FDA regulations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years (Level II) or 5+ years (Level III / Sr. Operator) in Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with tablet presses, encapsulation machines, granulation, coating, or fluid bed/Wurster coating equipment (Fette, Korsch, MG2, Glatt preferred).
- Knowledge of cGMPs, SOPs, and FDA regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work 2nd shift (4:00 PM – 12:30 AM) or 3rd shift (12:00 AM – 8:30 AM).
- High School Diploma, GED, or Associate degree required.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long shifts, and wear PPE including respirator.
