Position Summary:
The Production Support Associate plays a critical role in assisting with day-to-day operations in an apparel decorating facility specializing in embroidery, screen printing, and heat press. This position ensures smooth workflow by preparing materials, organizing inventory, staging garments, supporting machine operators, running embroidery machines, and maintaining a clean and efficient production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Prep & Support
- Stage garments and supplies for embroidery, screen print, and heat press runs
- Load/unload items from machines and assist with hooping, trimming, folding, and tagging
- Assist screen printing team with setup, teardown, screen cleaning, and ink mixing
- Weed vinyl and prepare transfers for heat press application
Quality Control
- Inspect products for print accuracy, thread quality, and overall finishing
- Flag and report defects or inconsistencies to supervisors promptly
Inventory & Materials Handling
- Receive, sort, and organize incoming blanks and supplies
- Maintain accurate inventory of threads, inks, transfers, and accessories
- Assist with product counts and shelf stocking
Workplace Cleanliness & Safety
- Clean workstations and equipment at the end of each shift
- Ensure safe use of heat press, screen printing, and embroidery machinery
- Follow all safety protocols and report hazards or incidents immediately
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in an embroidery, screen printing, or apparel production environment preferred, not necessary
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Basic knowledge of textiles and garment types is a plus
- Reliable, punctual, and a positive attitude
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Part-time available
- Typical hours: Mon–Fri 9 AM – 3 PM
- Hourly pay: Starting at $15/hr
