Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair complex production equipment with minimum supervision
- Enhance equipment performance, recommending improvements and implementing.
- Able to Fabricate and Weld using MIG, TIG, STICK, Plasma cutter, and Oxy-Acetylene
- Working knowledge of piping, valves, pumps, hydraulic systems, chill water systems, gas systems, pneumatics.
- Able to perform maintenance and facility repairs and improvements with minimum supervision or direction.
- Works from drawings, written or verbal instructions and sketches
- Be able to troubleshoot and identify mechanical problems
- Operate production equipment and check performance as required
- Perform installation, set up, modification and relocation of equipment to accommodate, or to improve production requirement
- Be strong on PM (preventative maintenance) procedures (capable of meeting standard PM completion rate of 98% or better)
- Have proficient knowledge in use of computerized maintenance management system.
- Ensure all job-related operations are in compliance with safety requirements.
- Perform lock out/ tag out procedure 100% of the time on machines/machines being serviced
- Perform other duties as requested by Manager
- Work in a safe manner, obeying all health, safety and environmental regulations. Report all unsafe acts and conditions to Managers/Supervisors and the Joint Health & Safety Committee. Understanding hot permits, confined space permits LOTO
- Contribute to continuous improvement, productivity, quality, customer service, cost reduction, safety and housekeeping
Work environment:
- Working days Monday to Thursday
- Permanent full time position, 40 hours per week with a degree of overtime

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Previous relevant maintenance experiences in manufacturing environment
- Strong Mechanical training and troubleshooting experience required.
- Ability to effectively use computers and other technology
- Ability to work at heights and in enclosed spaces.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for long period of time
- Read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision

- Capable of operating forklifts, scissor lifts, man lifts.
