What We're Looking For:
INH Property Management is seeking a talented accountant to join our team and drive their ongoing growth. We are looking for someone eager to learn and grow with our company. As a property accountant, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate reporting for the properties we manage. Your responsibilities will primarily involve managing the Accounts Payable operations and overseeing the financial reporting for a designated portfolio of properties.
Job Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Accounting: Maintain accurate tenant ledgers, respond to property management inquiries about expense variances, and manage tenant communications, including ledger adjustments and refund processing.
- Accounts Payable: Scan and enter invoices (~2,500/month), manage vendors, track certificates of insurance, and conduct additional payable research and processing.
- Financial Reporting: Complete monthly bank reconciliations, journal entries and prepare monthly financial reports.
- Property Operations: Tenant ledger corrections, move out dispositions, communication with onsite staff and administrative staff.
- Customer Service: Assist tenants who call to make over the phone payments or ask about their ledger.
- Projects: Assigned department operational tasks and one off projects.
Requirements
Who We Are Looking For (Ideal Candidate):
- Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting. Accounts payable experience preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
- Work Environment: Capable of thriving in a fast-paced setting while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
- Disposition: Possesses a positive, can-do, attitude and is a team player, receptive to feedback is essential for ongoing personal and professional development.
- Analytical Abilities: Comfortable with numbers and adept at problem-solving.
- Initiative: Self-motivated and intellectually curious, with the ability to independently pursue projects.
- Confidentiality: Demonstrates a steadfast commitment to maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality.
Working Conditions:
- Fast paced environment, many deadlines, high volume of interdepartmental communication.
- Currently 100% onsite in Waite Park, MN (not remote)
- Hourly, with expectation to work approximately 40-45 hours per week.
- Pay range $23.00 - $28.00, depending on experience.
