About the Role
The Experience Development team is looking for a prototyper. We’re researching future AI-powered devices that make use of a wide range of input and output hardware across the human senses. You will build prototypes for experience researchers to understand the wide space of options. Quality and execution matter, but only for trying out these fake experiences.
In this role, you will:
Produce concrete work out of ambiguous + vague requests. Turn ambiguity into momentum and make things. Comfortable with changing direction, knowing when to shift direction or polish the details.
Coding — Proficient in bringing interactive things to life.
Technical depth — Enough technical depth to work with a variety of APIs, languages, tools. Plugs different tools and pipelines together.
Fakes things — Can put the perceived experience first to solve hard problems, filling in gaps or skipping large amounts of work by creatively faking what’s unnecessary.
Design lingo — Conversational in design thinking and language, high level of attention to detail. Responsive to aesthetic feedback.
Engineering lingo — Communicate well with engineers, can speak some of their language.
Comfortable in feedback land — Healthy methods for seeking feedback and acting upon it. Gives meaningful, constructive feedback.
Bonus: Experience with OpenAI APIs.
