Job Title: Purchasing Specialist - Parts and Accessories
Exemption Status: Exempt
Position Summary: The purchasing specialist procures tools, accessories, hoses, equipment, and ancillary products. In addition to purchasing responsibilities, this role serves as a key point of contact for the sales team, providing timely quotes, sharing product availability updates, and helping troubleshoot sourcing challenges. The position requires strong product knowledge, clear communication, and the ability to collaborate closely with vendors, the transportation team, and internal departments to ensure timely deliveries and exceptional service.
Job Responsibilities:
- Place purchase orders for stock inventory, special orders, and drop-ship items.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels in the designated warehouse.
- Collaborate with the sales team to source and quote special order items.
- Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and product specifications.
- Ensure order accuracy and coordinate with logistics for deliveries.
- Update the sales team on product availability, cost changes, and lead times.
- Support new product onboarding by assisting with initial purchases and stock setup.
- Resolve order discrepancies, shipment delays, or invoicing issues.
- Participate in and contribute to biannual sales conferences, including required travel.

- Proven organizational and time management skills
- Ability to navigate business software and applications
- Strong Data Analytics and Forecasting skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Platform
- Microsoft ERP experience preferred
Qualifications
- Turf industry experience preferred
- 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience preferred.
