We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Manager to oversee the quality assurance and compliance aspects of our electrical construction projects. The QC Manager will be responsible for implementing and managing the Quality Control Plan, ensuring all work complies with contract specifications, drawings, and applicable codes and standards (e.g., NEC, EM 385-1-1).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific Quality Control Plans.
- Conduct inspections and tests of electrical installations, materials, and systems.
- Prepare and maintain documentation such as inspection checklists, testing records, and non-conformance reports.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve quality-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with US Army Corps of Engineers and/or NAVFAC quality standards (if applicable).
- Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up QC meetings as required.
- Maintain close communication with clients, contractors, and field teams.
- Monitor subcontractor quality performance and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of project contracts.
- Minimum 5 years of QC experience in electrical construction projects.
- Prior experience with federal or military projects (e.g., NAVFAC, USACE) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of NEC and other applicable codes and standards.
- Familiarity with construction safety protocols (EM 385-1-1 a plus).
- Excellent documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- USACE CQM-C (Construction Quality Management for Contractors) certification is a plus.
