Quality Control Technician
SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to ensure our products meet rigorous quality standards and regulatory requirements. The QC Technician will be responsible for inspecting materials, monitoring production processes, conducting tests, and documenting results to support consistent product excellence. This role plays a vital part in maintaining customer satisfaction and upholding our brand reputation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Perform raw material sampling and inspection in a controlled sampling booth environment following SOPs and regulatory standards.
- Use FTIR to verify chemical structures and confirm raw material identity.
- Perform titrations, pH measurements, organoleptic evaluations, specific gravity, and viscosity to confirm quality attributes of raw materials, in-process and final products.
- Perform UPLC and GC testing to quantify active ingredients in raw materials and finished products.
- Accurately record raw data, observations, and results in logbooks or electronic systems; review and compile data into analytical reports.
- Ensure timely release of raw materials and products in compliance with company specifications and GMP standards to support production schedules.
- Conduct stability testing according to stability protocols to monitor product performance over time.
- Perform routine calibration checks on laboratory instruments to ensure data accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment under GMP guidelines.
- Adhere to all SOPs and safety protocols while performing laboratory testing and handling chemical materials.
- Support investigations, OOS/OOT analysis, and continuous improvement activities as needed.
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS
- Demonstrated hands-on technical expertise and strong theoretical understanding of analytical instrumentation, in particular; UPLC, GC-FID, FTIR, and Automated Titrator.
- Hands-on knowledge of general wet chemistry, including titration, density, general separation/extraction, DSC, etc.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to learn new techniques.
- High attention to detail and strength in problem solving.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Experience in quality control or manufacturing environments
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Familiarity with inspection tools and statistical analysis software
- Proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Multi-task oriented, able to work on multiple projects of varying complexity in a fast paced environment
