Position Overview:

The Quality Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that Superior’s products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. This position is responsible for managing the branch-level quality program, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and fostering a culture of quality that aligns with Superior’s mission to deliver innovative, reliable equipment to the global infrastructure market.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee Branch-Level Quality Control – Manage inspections, audits, and quality case management to ensure products meet Superior’s standards and customer expectations.

Drive Continuous Improvement – Identify quality gaps, lead corrective actions, and implement process improvements using data analysis and root cause tools like 5 Why and Fishbone Diagrams.

Manage Supplier and Vendor Quality – Conduct audits and inspections of vendors and outsourced partners to maintain supply chain quality and ensure incoming materials meet specifications.

Control Quality-Related Costs – Monitor and reduce rework, scrap, and warranty claims while supporting cost efficiency and product integrity.

Lead Training and Quality Culture Development – Provide coaching, training, and auditing to build quality ownership across teams and promote a proactive quality mindset.

Support Compliance and Continuous Monitoring – Maintain audit schedules, calibrate inspection tools, lead Kaizen events, and ensure compliance with Superior’s quality programs and regulatory requirements.


Qualifications:

  • Proficient in the use of precision measurement tools including: Tape Measure, Caliper, Hardness tester, Micrometer, Paint Coating Thickness Gauge, Bore Gauges, and Weld Gauges
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and workflows in a heavy equipment environment
  • Understanding of how quality impacts all business functions, from engineering and production to supply chain and customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to lead quality initiatives, manage projects, and drive continuous improvement
  • Experience in quality systems, audits, corrective action management, and supplier quality evaluations
  • Analytical thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving
