What You Will Enjoy Doing
Main Responsibilities:
- Measures, records and reports dimensional, functional and visual attributes as per ALPLA Project Manager or customer specified requirements
- Performs required measurements using optical comparator
- Performs measurements of material layer thickness using microscope
- Performs measurements of wall thickness
- Performs destructive testing including drop test, Bruceston testing & leak
- testing
- Responsible for reviewing data for accuracy; determines root cause of abnormalities & out of specification results with project team members
- Works with Packaging Manager and Process Development Team on QA related qualification procedures for new product implementation in the TC internal as well as external ALPLA production sites
- Maintains Equipment List and performs/logs internal calibration checks on quality related equipment in the QA lab and technical center production floor
- Responsible for development product sample identification, storage & distribution to customer or others.
- Manages product retain area
- Interacts closely with process development team and packaging managers to produce successful and timely pilot sampling
Other Responsibilities:
- Reviews and sends QA packages
- Writes CMM programs
- Writes compression strength, capping & de-capping programs
- Creates inspection plans using SPC software
- Performs color analysis using Hunterlab or other software
What Makes You Great
Education: Minimum 2-year Degree (Associates) in related field or equivalent required, 4-year Degree (Bachelor) preferred
Experience:
- Metrology Testing Experience (Calipers, Coordinate System Understanding, Compression, Drop Testing, Volume Testing, E-Commerce Testing).
- Data Analysis Experience with SPC Software and Minitab or Equivalent.
- 2+ years of ISO 9001 and Food Safety Auditing. Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, etc.), Outlook, Visio or Equivalent.
Skills:
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Experience with physical lab testing equipment, including calipers, scales, digital
- height gauge and compression force testing equipment
- Able to handle multi-task environment with good organizational skills
- Excellent computer skills
- May be required to work overtime
