Job Description
Inspects and tests products and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products. In this position you will work from 6:00AM – 2:30PM EST.
- Performs tests as required and record results in laboratory information management systems.
- Follows methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, reliability and accuracy of products and processes.
- Supports customer testing and reporting as requested by Quality Coordinators or their Team Lead.
- Supports and/or performs First Article Inspections, Source Inspections and PPAPs as requested by Quality Coordinators or their Team Lead.
- Escalates potential problems to Quality Engineering team and participates in root cause analysis as requested.
- Interprets specifications, charts, manuals and other data to arrive at acceptance or rejection decision.
- Use mathematics to convert blueprint dimension and tolerances.
- Works within the guidelines of drawings, schematics, blueprints, route sheets, travelers, quality directives, technical engineering specifications, customer's requirements, and military standards.
- Performs receiving inspection, in process inspection, and final inspection per the process.
- Participates in internal quality audits as assigned by the Quality Manager.
- Recommends modifications to inspection procedures.
- Completes gage requests and gage calibrations as needed.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- U.S. Citizenship or have U.S. Permanent Resident Status required.
- GED or High School Diploma required. Associates or Bachelors in a technical field preferred.
- Ability to lift and or move up to 40 lbs.
- 4+ years of manufacturing experience required, preferably in a quality capacity.
- Must have ability to interpret drawings, materials specifications, and test instructions. Formal GD&T Training a plus
- Hands on proficiency of various inspection tools/equipment (Caliper, Digital Multimeter, Vernier, Hardness Gage, Universal Tensile Machine, Accu-Gage, MicroVu) preferred.
- Must Demonstrate effective organizational and verbal/written English communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Must demonstrate effective understanding and use of verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to work with others.
The actual compensation offered will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
This position is also eligible for incentive compensation.
