Epic Health Solutions, dba Think Equity, seeks a bilingual contractor to support their Clinics Advancing Health Equity (CAHE) project, funded by The Colorado Health Foundation. The contractor will work closely with the Strategic Program Manager, Assistant Project Manager, and CAHE project team to provide training and technical assistance to selected health clinics in Colorado serving rural and low-income populations.
The Racial Equity Coach will be responsible for administering a baseline assessment to selected clinics, analyzing the data, and developing clinic profiles with recommendations for a technical assistance plan. The coach will work with their selected clinic through three phases: Assessment, Technical Assistance/Coaching, and Sustainability. The engagement with each clinic will last for a total of two years.
The successful candidate will have experience providing 1:1 coaching to individuals and teams within organizations seeking to advance health disparities. In addition, the successful candidate has proven experience administering assessments, conducting key informant interviews, and reviewing and analyzing organizational policies.
Responsibilities
General:
- Use Microsoft SharePoint and Teams to assign and receive tasks/assignments (if applicable)
- Submit invoice monthly with hours (on the 25 of each month) and status report (by the 1 business day of the month following the month of service).
The Colorado Health Foundation Clinics Advancing Health Equity Project
Overall Project Administration
- Participation in the ongoing work of the project as outlined below:
- Participate in project-related calls (as requested or needed)
- Kick-off/On-boarding call for all contractors
- Internal Team Calls with TE staff and contractors (ongoing, frequency TBD)
- Monthly Project Update Calls with all contractors & TE staff
- Project Team Briefings (bi-weekly, as needed)
- 1:1 Check-In with Strategic Program Manager, monthly or as requested
- External Team calls with EHS staff, contractors, and clients (as needed)
Clinic Assessment Administration
- Support Assessment Architect/Data Analyst in clinic assessment administration
- Provide input and feedback on design collection methods (one assessment/clinic, focus groups, 1:1 interview, etc.) for the clinic assessment phase
- Administer Clinic Assessment on Health Disparities for assigned clinics
- Support data analyst to analyze, draw conclusions, and develop baselines for each selected clinic’s assessment data
- Develop a clinic profile (using PPT or other tools if applicable) for clinics, synthesizing assessment data
- Present clinic profile (along with data analyst) to clinics during the initial TA call
Learning Forums
- Support the planning of and participation in (travel to) the Learning Forum (November 11-14, 2025).
- The contractor may be responsible for planning or leading sessions for the Learning Forum
- Participate in planning meetings for the Learning Forums
Coaching & Technical Assistance
- Based on assessment results, design and implement technical assistance to assigned clinics.
- Provide coaching/technical assistance for up to 2 assigned clinics per cohort.
- Facilitate monthly 1:1 Coaching Calls with assigned clinics
- Keep/Update a TA log
- Support the development of technical assistance offerings/roadmap (to include: 1:1 coaching plan, cohort/peer-to-peer coaching plans, webinars, large group coaching/learning forum plans)
- Assist with the planning of virtual group coaching (frequency to TBD, bi-monthly or quarterly)
- Participate in, and lead virtual group coaching (frequency to TBD, bi-monthly or quarterly)
- Assist in strategic problem-solving with the project team on issues that may arise during TA provision.
- Support the development of a comprehensive compendium of resources for coaches to use during clinic coaching calls.
Other Responsibilities:
- Support the development of a final project summary report/article by providing monthly TA log reports and updates on clinic progress.
Travel:
This position requires at least two travel engagements. The successful candidate will be available to travel the week of August 25 and the week of November 10.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Five or more years of relevant experience or relevant diversity, equity, and inclusion certification or training may substitute one year of experience
- Demonstrated intercultural competency skills and experience working cross-culturally
- Experience implementing practices around diversity, equity, inclusion, and access, into systems, policies, and procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to motivate, collaborate, and negotiate with diverse individuals and groups
- Required: Fluent in Spanish
- Preferred: Demonstrated ability to identify, navigate, and address challenges associated with racial equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging
