Responsibilities:
Daily:
- Greets and directs callers or visitors.
- Picks up and disseminates incoming correspondence. Is responsible for outgoing correspondence. Monitors the postage meter.
- Fax medication reconciliation form and discharge information form to referring clinic (within 24 hours of discharge).
- Run Medicaid batch eligibility.
- Create contact list for visitation. Verify visitors on contact list. Check identification.
- Make follow up calls to guardians two weeks post discharge.
- Check identification for discharges, passes, family sessions against contact list.
- Keep copier and fax stocked with paper.
- Sell cafeteria tickets and drink tokens; balance cash box at end of shift.
- Make employee badges as needed.
- Assist administrative staff with a variety of tasks.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

- Ability to document accurately and professionally.
- Ability as a self-motivator and the aptitude to work in a high stress, fast-paced position with a minimal amount of supervision.
- Must be capable to receive verbal and written directions.
- Must be physically able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
- Remains current in Crisis Prevention Intervention Training.
- Must be willing and able to work with all patients of Methodist Family Health, regardless of gender.
- Must be able to maintain effective audio, visual discrimination and perception needed for making observations, communicating with others, reading and writing and operating office equipment.
- Must be able to use a telephone to communicate verbally and a computer to communicate through written means, to review information and enter/retrieve data, to see and read characters on a computer screen, chart or other treatment items.
- Personal cell phones are not allowed.
- Must be able to pass Employee Background check.
- 40-hour mandatory company orientation; 3-hour hospital orientation.
Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and two years’ experience. Proficient in all Microsoft applications and the ability to interact effectively with the public. Must be a team player and possess a good attitude when working with others. Must have the ability to complete duties assigned in an efficient and timely manner.
