The Regional Director of Donor Development will focus exclusively on cultivating and soliciting major gifts of $5,000 and above to support FCA's mission in the region. MINISTERIAL DUTIES These responsibilities are critical to the FCA mission, and this position plays a vital role in our ministry. - Follow a spiritual rhythm, including daily prayer and Bible study to seek the Lord's will for
- Lead, conduct, and provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship, and living by example so they are equipped to serve others.
- Connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly
- Conduct yourself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA's Christian beliefs (see FCA's Christian Community Statement) at all times.
- This position will be funded by the individual's fund-raising efforts as well as with funds from the RVP.
- Identify, qualify, cultivate, and solicit major gift prospects, as they grow in their donor maturity.
- Connect, communicate and care for major donors, focusing on cultivating relationships with individuals capable of giving $5,000 and above. (Tier 1, Tier 2)
- Focus on the strategies within the regional Every Generation campaign to clearly communicate to major donors the opportunities to give locally to globally.
- Work closely with the RDDBA, RVP, and EVP of Donor and Board Advancement to coordinate major donor experience opportunities for specific donors.
- Play a critical role in fundraising efforts for an upcoming capital campaign, contributing to campaign strategy and goal achievement.
- Participate in relevant donor events, meetings, and cultivation activities to strengthen relationships.
- Participate in RVP first-team meetings.
Travel Requirements
• While the role will be primarily based in Portland, the Director of Donor Advancement may need to
travel within the Pacific Northwest region as needed for donor meetings and events
