Overview/Purpose:
The Remote Palletizer troubleshoots and monitors all remote palletizer tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
Tasks are to be completed while maintaining the highest safety, food safety and quality, cost and GMP standards in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitors preventive maintenance and repairs on all equipment and plant structures in a safe manner, in compliance with State and Federal GMP’s, SOP’s and company Policies and Procedures.
- Performs general maintenance duties as it relates to palletizer.
- Inspects machines for parts wear and recommend/participate in making necessary repairs
- Audit pallet tags for quantity and lots.
- Participates and assists in the installation of new machinery.
- Responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues and initiate action, as necessary.
- Follow all Food Safety guidelines, such as, but not limited to:
- GMP’s
- Allergen Program
- Quality
- HACCP
- Sanitation
- Safety
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience troubleshooting and operating industrial machinery.
- Ability to work within a team concept. Flexibility is an asset.
- Strong safety record
- Good attendance and dependability a must.
- Ability to communicate with other team members and be able to explain operating issues.
- Ability to meet attendance guidelines and work additional hours/OT as needed.
- Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with all contacts both inside and outside the company.
- Ability to work various shifts, weekends, and overtime as require
- Understanding of basic principles of the SQF program and other food safety policies/procedures
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly required to work around operating equipment, stand, reach, pull, stoop and bend
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand. The employee is frequently required to use their hands and fingers to handle, feel objects, use tools or controls, and climb or balance.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electric shock.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. However, some instances of this job may require work in areas where ear protection if necessary.
Schedule: Monday-Friday (3:00 PM-11 PM) , Saturday's as need it.
Compensation and Benefits:
- New starting wage is $18.00/hour (commensurate with experience and location). *Note that rate could change based on a shift schedule.
