BPS Bioscience Inc. is a leading provider of recombinant proteins, assay kits, lentiviruses, and recombinant cell lines for drug discovery. We are currently seeking a diligent and highly motivated scientist to join our cell biology group to assist in production and new product development.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine tissue culture of mammalian cell lines including human induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells and establishment of stable cell lines.
- Perform molecular biology techniques including PCR, cloning, and plasmid preparation.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of experimental procedures and results
- Ensures lab cleanliness and safety by maintaining equipment and keeping all samples properly labeled and stored.
- Maintains supply stocks for the common lab area including reagents, DNA, equipment, and consumables; communicate with sales representatives for appropriate pricing.
- Handles documentation needed for project validation and research quality control; keep an updated database record with project details and information.
- Performs literature review and summarizes the relevant information for the preparation of product datasheets.
- Assists other researchers with various tasks, including aid in experiments, data entry, sample storage, and organization.
- Other duties may include transfections, lentivirus production, performing cell-based assays in 96 well plates, assisting with order fulfillment, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's with 0-1 years.
- Detail oriented, well organized, possess excellent lab skills and maintain meticulous records.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams. Strong teamwork, written and oral communication skills are essential.
- Due to stem cell maintenance protocols, some weekend work (less than 1 hour) may be required.
