Research Hub Director, Department of Medicine, University of Florida. The Department of Medicine invites applications for the position of Director for the Department of Medicine Research Hub. As a leading academic medical center, we are dedicated to advancing patient care, fostering groundbreaking research, and shaping the next generation of medical professionals. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for research hub. Collaborate with departmental leadership to develop and implement research goals and objectives aligned with the institution's mission and vision.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the research hub, including staff, collaborative workgroups, strategic programs, budget, and the annual faculty evaluation processes for hub members.
- Partner with Division Chiefs on the recruitment and selection process for incoming researchers, ensuring a fair and equitable selection process. Develop and implement strategies to attract a pool of highly qualified applicants to the Department of Medicine, as well as retain existing talent.
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Board certification in internal medicine or a medical specialty.
- Prior experience in research leadership preferred.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
