Direct Care House Managers/Leads play an important role in the day to day operations of the group home. We are searching for dedicated, compassionate and reliable home managers to coach, teach, mentor, and provide direct support to our members and staff. Duties include but not limited to:
- Intake/Discharge of members
- Creating/Maintaining/Auditing Client Files monthly/as needed
- Creating, Auditing and maintaining Daily Task Books, Vehicle Book and House Book
- Attending all member appointments and meetings, completing forms and communicating expectations with the team within a 24 hour time frame of the appointment
- Completing Client Funds Ledgers after all appropriate expenditures have been completed
- Grocery orders/inventory and corresponding menus weekly
- Processing and completing End of the Months, MPR’s, Activity Calendars, Bi-Monthly monitoring forms, and coordinating home visits or preferred activities
- Managing schedules/staff assignments/overall assigned home operations
- Assist members with daily living skills and hygiene, meal preparation, household chores, goals, medication administration, relationship building and community involvement.
- Complete all state audits in a timely fashion
- Submit all required documentation to administration weekly
- Promote and ensure a safe and secure environment for all members and staff in the residence.
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must be 21 years or older
- Must maintain a Level 1 fingerprint card
- Have a valid AZ Driver’s License
- 2 years’ experience working in Group Homes or a similar Direct Care setting
- Required certifications (can obtained through required training):
- First Aid
- CPR
- Article 9
- Prevention and Support
- Preferred managerial experience but not necessary.
- Experience in DDD/DCS is a must.
- Salary depends on experience. May be eligible for sign on Bonus!!!!!
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Leads are expected to be in ratio Monday through Friday with members and staff.
Managers will be required to cover the first 8 hours of overtime as coverage for call offs or open shifts to ensure overtime is kept at an appropriate minimum. All communication with the member’s guardians and team needs to be shared with Administration regarding any changes or concerns with that member or their programming within an acceptable timeframe. Any corrective action needed to be taken with employees will need to be escalated to the Supervisor from the Lead to ensure the appropriate corrective action is taken and the Lead and Supervisor will discuss evaluations and follow up and any necessary additional training the Lead will need to conduct with that employee to ensure an opportunity for growth and learning is taken.
