Under the direction of the Respiratory Care Supervisor, is responsible for ordering, stocking and maintaining the inventory of equipment and supplies of the Respiratory Care Services Department.
Essential Responsibilities:
Starts equipment and observes gauges measuring pressure, rate of flow, and continuity to test equipment, and notifies supervisor of malfunctions. Examines equipment to detect worn tubes, loose connections, or other indications of disrepair, and notifies supervisor of need for maintenance. Cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes equipment used in administration of respiratory therapy. Delivers oxygen tanks and other equipment and supplies to specified hospital locations. Assists in preparation and maintenance of inventory records. Perform other related duties as necessary. Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Basic Qualifications:
6 months experience. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other incumbents of the organization. Must be willing to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment. Also refer to Position Specifications outlined in the appropriate collective bargaining agreement.
