We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.We are seeking a kind, reliable Teen Respite Provider to spend time with a sweet girl in her home and in the community. Respite services provide parents temporary breaks from caring for their daughter, allowing them to rest, recharge, and self-care to maintain their own wellbeing.
The teens' interests include pop music, crafts, animals, shopping, and being outdoors. If you are interested in a fun opportunity, please apply today!
Location: New Berlin, WI Wage: $18.42 per hour
Schedule: • 12 to 15 hours per month (minimum of 3 hours per week) with the potential of increased hours during summer months. • Preferred days: Friday afternoons/evenings and Sundays
Skills: • Experience with special needs clients/autism spectrum disorder • Experience with non-verbal communication methods • Able to assist with mobility and transfers (no equipment)
Tasks: • Provides companionship and supervision • Assist with meal prep, toileting, transfers, and ambulation as needed • Engage in meaningful activities with the client’s interests in mind.
Qualifications: • Authorized to work in the U.S. • Age 18 or older at start of employment. • Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance • Must pass caregiver background check • Must be ok with dog in the home - client's service dog
