If you would like more information about our company, you can visit our website here: Who We Are - CDWI This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Teen Respite Provider to give companionship, support and supervision to a female with special needs. Your role as a Respite Provider is essential in ensuring the well-being of the teen while allowing her main caregivers the necessary breaks they need for self-care. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be trustworthy, and have an easy-going personality, but still respect boundaries without being too intrusive. We are looking for a long-term care provider that is willing to be flexible with summer and fall hours.
The family would prefer the same potential employee to work with the teen on daily living skills. Tasks to work on include hygiene practices, following directions, keeping a routine/schedule, safety practices at home and in the community, and work on improving her communication, as she is verbally limited. The ideal candidate will be able to build a trusting relationship with the teen and engage with her during your time together, while demonstrating patience and compassion. We are looking for a long-term care provider that is willing to be flexible with summer and fall hours.
The teen is a fun- spirited girl who enjoys her Wii games and Disney videos. She is a big fan of Elmo and Sesame Street. She also may enjoy splash pads and swimming pools. Currently her favorite leisure activity is puzzles.
