We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.We are currently seeking a kind, patient, and outgoing respite provider for a very sweet and active little boy. This young man is on the Autism spectrum (no experience required, just openness to learn). He is mainly nonverbal but will sometimes use his words to communicate his needs. Family is open to him being around other children but are not sure how he will interact with them, 1:1 would also be great. This creative young man is very talented with drawing and building and would love someone that would encourage these qualities.
Pay: $14.13/hour (after tax rate)
Location: Child resides in Chippewa Falls, WI - Care location TBD between family & provider
Schedule: 4 hours/week available - SAT & SUN afternoons preferred - flexible shifts
Things He Enjoys:
- Disney movies – Likes the music and stories (Loves the movie Cars!)
- Loves Building Things & Drawing (buildings & airplanes)
- Climbing
- Swimming
- Playing outside
Passes: YMCA & Chippewa Falls Pool
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster an open and communicative relationship to build trust and help him feel comfortable.
- Help him stay busy and engaged with activities to maintain an active lifestyle
Ideal Candidate:
- A kind, patient, and energetic individual who can offer a safe and fun environment
- Someone who enjoys outdoor activities and is willing to be active and engaged in various physical tasks.
- Open to regular communication with the family and adaptable to a changing schedule.
- Experience with Autism is helpful but not required
Personal Cares:
- Hourly restroom reminders
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Willing to undergo a caregiver background check upon hire

If hired by a Member or their Managing Party, your legal employer on record would be the Member. CDCN’s role is to assist the Member or Managing Party in recruiting a Direct Care Worker.
