Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival and escort them to their tables, ensuring a warm welcome.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently, providing accurate wait times to guests.
- Maintain an organized seating chart to optimize table turnover while ensuring guest comfort.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, handling inquiries and reservations with courtesy.
- Collaborate with the serving staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Provide information about menu items and specials, enhancing the guest experience through knowledge of food offerings.
- Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring positive guest relations.
Qualifications
- Previous host/host or restaurant experience preferred, with a strong background in food service and hospitality.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing reservations and seating arrangements.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Experience in hotel guest services is advantageous but not required.
