Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, outgoing and enthusiastic Greeter to join our team. As the first point of contact for our customers, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional experience for all visitors. Your primary responsibility will be to greet customers, provide assistance, and promote our products and services effectively. The position requires standing for 8 hours+ per shift.
Duties
- Welcome customers as they enter the Garden Center, providing a warm and friendly greeting.
- Assist customers with inquiries about products, services, and promotions.
- Promote sales by effectively communicating product benefits and features.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain a clean and organized front area to enhance the customer experience.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- For complex requests, effectively handoff the service interaction to the adequate team member.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele.
- Proficiency in English; multilingual abilities are a plus to cater to a broader customer base.
- Experience in retail sales or Garden Center is advantageous but not required.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information clearly.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
